Progressivism always incites radical emotions for fairness, justice and equity but it cannot deliver nor even intends to deliver on remedies for pie in the sky grievances of the "victims" they have harnessed to their cause.
In the middle stage of their progress their progressive movement turns to chaos and then the long knives come out and authoritarianism and despotism take over.
I am not certain that the progressive left has the power to take over by force but I am wary. I could see them backing us into corners viz a viz other global powers and then declaring some sort of emergency response to their fait accompli.
