Can Liberals Govern Without Entitlements?

The essence of modern liberal government isn't that citizens have rights, but rather that they have entitlements. Their citizenship, or even residence (legal or otherwise) entitles them to some standard of living regardless of their efforts. This is unsustainable and the Left knows it. The Left only hopes it lasts long enough to enslave the nation. That will do.

Why would they do this? The Left are losers when it comes to innovation, entrepreneurship, risk taking, project management and leadership. They are smart alecks not smart. They have the grandiose delusion that they are effective managers but they are not even competent in this third tier sphere of enterprise. Oh yes and there is compliance. Here they define perversity of the most Kafkaesque sort.

But they know how to eat well, drink well and whore well. Look at Hollywood. This lifestyle is the dream of every leftist. Strike the right poses and make millions. Wear a bow tie to work and maybe everyone will think that you are that avuncular John Houseman character in Paper Chase. Wear Dockers and drink wine. See how cool and sophisticated we are.

The problem is that the ruthless gangster bullies come along and eat their lunch. Ask the Trotsky-ites how their communist revolution turned out. Not so good. So on we go wending our way to catastrophe.
